White Nights Gourmet Days

This July brings will herald St Petersburg’s first ever international culinary extravaganza, Gourmet Days, as Russia’s culinary capital embarks on three days of eating, drinking and revelry starting.

From July 4th to July 6th, coinciding with the centuries-old White Nights festivities, Gourmet Days will see a global collaboration of talent as chefs from across the globe flock to some of the city’s best known restaurants.

A series of nine extraordinary dinners will take place on those three nights, each being jointly curated by the Head Chef of the participating local restaurants and an international talent flown in for the occasion. The unique dinners, which range from smokehouse grills to haute cuisine, will all be entirely different from one another, drawing inspiration from the host restaurant and the international chef.

The northern capital of Russia has a rich gastronomic history, and this venture aims to bring a new generation of talented chefs into the limelight whilst re-establishing St. Petersburg as one of the world’s leading foodie destinations.

Gourmet Days will transport chefs to St Petersburg from as far as Hong Kong, Argentina, Switzerland and San Sebastian, making it a truly global affair. With the line up ranging from some of the World’s 50 Best chefs to upcoming young talent and rising stars, Gourmet Days will showcase a plethora of flavours and culinary styles. In an intense, adrenalin-filled few days it will immerse these chefs in an entirely different culture, giving rise to unprecedented dishes and collaborations.

The festival will open on the 4th of July with a lavish cocktail party at Big Wine Freaks, commencing three evenings of three different collaborative dinners, before a decadent and lively after-party at W-Hotel roof top terrace.

Confirmed St Petersburg restaurants taking part in the event include Volga-Volga, Мansarda, GODJI, The Repa, Gastronomika, Tartarbar, Smoke BBQ, BeefZavod, Moroshka dlya Pushkina, Hamlet + Jacks, Big Wine Freaks, with many others still to be announced.

The festival will be in partnership with The Singleton malt whisky from the heart of Scotland, which resonates perfectly with Gourmet days and its line-up of talented chefs.
